Volkswagen - EURO 2022 with Imke Salander

Off the back of a content series we had been doing for Volkswagen global around their sponsorship of Euro 2022, they asked if we might be able to create a content piece to leverage an influencer deal they had, to showcase their brand activation at the Trafalgar Square Euro 2022 Fan Village. It was a quick turn around, so I called the influencer and made a quick plan that we got approved by the client. With an empty fan village and rules about no background faces or 3rd party branding to navigate, we set about making a walkthrough video of the experience and getting some fan engagement. We worked with Imke to shoot on the main camera film and photo for brand channels, but also shot on her mobile so that she had tons of content to release through her channels. We then had a 48hr post production window to turn it around before the England vs. Germany final. The client was super happy with both the quality of the brand content, but also the range and authenticity of the content we created for the influencer, achieving huge reach across her channels. I always find it best to engage the influencer in advance and understand what they would like out of it, to get a better working relationship, content that is authentic and to maximise the range of assets for brand and influencers channels.
